Connexting You To Your Future

Loans are funded by a lender from our network of lenders who, as our clients, believe as we do that helping students start the NEXT phase in their life helps us all.
Loans will be made to student borrowers who meet the eligibility/credit underwriting requirements of the program. Borrowers (students) not able to meet the eligibility requirements will be required to secure a credit worthy co-signer who does meet the eligibility/credit underwriting requirements of the program. The funds are disbursed directly to the approved school.

Connext Undergraduate or Connext Graduate loan program
In order to be eligible to participate in the Connext Undergraduate or Connext Graduate loan program, the student borrower or the student for whom the parent is borrowing or the parent must be all of the following:

  • A United States citizen or a permanent resident.
  • At least the age of 18 a majority of the time of the application based on his/her state of permanent residence.
  • Meet the borrower credit requirements or obtain a co-signer who meets the co-signer eligibility requirements.
  • The student on the loan application and on the credit agreement. The student needs to be identified on the loan application as the borrower.
  • Admitted to or enrolled at least half-time at an eligible institution when applying.

  • At least the age of 18 a majority of the time of the application based on his/her state of permanent residence.
  • Meet the borrower credit requirements or obtain a co-signer who meets the co-signer eligibility requirements.

  • A resident living in the United States for at least the most recent two years.
  • At least the age of 18 a majority of the time of the application based on his/her state of permanent residence.
  • Meet the co-signer credit requirements
For borrowers who elect through the loan application to defer payments during in-school deferment periods, the repayment term will begin after a grace period (6 months maximum) triggered by either (a) the student dropping to below half-time status and/or withdrawing from the eligible institution or (b) graduating from an eligible institution. For borrowers who elect to begin repayment of principle and interest immediately, monthly payments will begin within fifty (50) days of the first disbursement on the loan.

You can refinance them with the Connext Refinance loan. Federal loans do have benefits that private loans do not so make sure to weigh your options and what will benefit your situation.

For Connext Undergraduate and Graduate loans the answer is no unless you elected to go immediately into repayment. If you elected to defer your payments, you are not required to make payments, however it is in your best interest to make payments of any amount during the time the loan is deferred as it will reduce the amount of interest that is capitalized (interest added to your principal balance) at repayment. For Connext Refinance loans, the loan enters repayment immediately after disbursement.

Accrued and unpaid interest is capitalized (added to the principal) to the loan at the end of any forbearance/deferment period. Interest is calculated on the increased principal balance.
The minimum loan amount for a Connext Undergraduate or Graduate loan is $2,000; the minimum for a Connext Refinance loan is $10,000.
We offer a variety of repayment options to help you through challenging times. Additionally, you may qualify for periods of forbearance with minimal or no payment due. Please contact your Student Lending Specialist to discuss the specific options available to you.
Yes! You may receive a 0.25% interest rate reduction for enrolling in recurring ACH payments with ReliaMax, your loan servicer. The interest rate is discounted from the date of the first payment automatically deducted until the date of the last payment that is automatically deducted.
